What is the best brand of glue out there for regular and for speed gluing? I've heard Elmers rubber cement does the job for regular gluing. Any one have better experience with another brand?

Also Speed Glues! P_layer_'s trade secrets... what is the best? For instance, why is it that some glues have a solvent odor and some do not. Why are some better? What effects does it have on the rubber?

Regarding regular gluing..from other recommendations, I've used best test. It has a thicker consistency

Thanks for the info, looks like they have a non-acidic rubber cement which may be nicer on the wood and sponge. Just grabbed a little 2oz. container to check it out. Always looking for better alternatives to Elmers or $20 brand names.

Have you tried out the glue? Hope it works out well for you.

I've only tried one speed glue, and it was very nice.. It was Spintech's enduro. It was very light, and had a lot of pop. My friends who were speed gluers, gave it high regards. Depending on what consistency you like, they have 2 version. One is the very light, and another one which is a little bit thicker.

I should have my Best Test glue tomorrow and will be patching up my racket as well as a friend's.

I was just checking out Spintechs wares and saw the speed glues, thanks! I heard that rules will change soon about what kind of speed glues can be used in competition. When and how is this happening?

I know there has been talk about it, and I belive it will happen, but I'm not sure when. I don't think it's anytime soon though.
