Well, what’s *not* to like about San Diego? Put aside the beautiful white beaches and Pacific breakers, the vibrant community basking in the plentiful California sunshine and the excellent restaurants. San Diego is home to the SDTTA, one of the best organized and long-standing local clubs in America.
In 2009, by popular demand, NATT makes two appearances at this special venue. With the support of our sponsor, JOOLA, we’ll play here in April and again for the Tour Final in October.
Players from throughout the US, Canada and Mexico form our playing population here. They come because of the benefits mentioned above and this additional fact. The Balboa Park Activity Center is likely the single best table tennis facility in America. There are no basketball hoops to be hoisted out of the way, the place was designed for badminton and table tennis. One caveat, no food or drink are allowed in the venue, other than liquids in screwtop containers, so leave the picnic cooler at home! Wooden floors and no intrusive artificial air currents, a clean and well-maintained property in the middle of one of America’s most famous public spaces make this a pilgrimage you must make.
The fans are knowledgeable and fill the bleachers at the feature courts. The players are skilled, experienced and courteous. The weather is perfect, the beaches are gorgeous, and NATT keeps the event on time. What else could you want? Winning lottery tickets?

Ratings:
Ratings from the March/April issue of the USATT Magazine will be used for qualifications. Seedings based on most current ratings.
Policies:
Players may not enter two events with identical start times. Events can be cancelled or combined at the discretion of the tournament committee. No prizes will be awarded for splits,dumps, default losses or no-shows. Play will be conducted under ITTF rules and NATT policies. USATT dress code will be enforced. All decisions of the referee are final.
