The first event of the 2005 STIGA North American Tour got the season off to a rousing start. New Jersey is a hot bed of table tennis activity, with many of the country's best players, most active clubs and a deep rich history. More history was made here, as the two top seeds in Open Singles were David Zhuang and Thomas Keinath, two players who have met repeatedly in STIGA Tour finals, and even more recently at the West Covina tournament, where Zhuang hung a goose-egg on his rival, 4-0 to win that event.

NATT is proud to announce the creation of a new event, in partnership with Newgy, the world's largest manufacturer of table tennis robots. The Newgy Robo-Pong Open is now scheduled for September 17th and 18th 2005 at Middle Tennessee State University's Recreation Center in Murfreesboro, TN. This tournament features more than $10,000 in total prize money and is expected to attract the top players from throughout North America.

NATT & SDTTA Growing Together PDF Print E-mail

For Immediate Release:

An agreement reached between NATT and the San Diego Table Tennis Association will allow an expansion of the 2005 STIGA North American Tour to seven distinct events.  SDTTA's facility, the Recreation Center at  Balboa Park will be home to both the SoCal Open on August 20th and 21st, 2005 and the San Diego Open November 5th and 6th.  As part of the STIGA North American Tour, both tournaments will use STIGA brand tables for the competition.

Feingold Memorial Senior Events; presented by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley and Olga Kahan

The Senior events, the Over 40, Over 50 and Over 60 competitions on the 2005 STIGA North American Tour, are held in memory of Mr. Sol Feingold.  Sol is an individual worth remembering.  His life is a lesson to us about the value of table tennis in our lives.

Ying/Lo Junior Competitions PDF Print E-mail

Junior events on the STIGA North American Tour are now supported by two illustrious Chinese family names in memory of Mrs. Ying Lo Li-hsiang (1919-2004). The descendants of these two generous families have underwritten the prize money in hope of encouraging more strenuous efforts by juniors to reach national and international excellence.
