California and Southern California may be part of the same state, but
in culture, climate and pride, they are practically separate
nations.There are certainly several distinct playing populations in
California, with one centered on the SoCal, LA/SD area, another that
thinks of itself as Sacramento and a third in the San Francisco Bay
region, Oakland, Alameda, Palo Alto. NATT
has been seeking a way
for many years to serve this player base, and give equal time to our
Northern California friends. After all, everyone appreciates a
home game now and then! Also, the Bay Area is a great
destination, full of culture, history, scenic beauty and wonderful
attractions, so players traveling there can feel as if they have 'been
somewhere' a host city with style and flavor. Berkeley Open Travel Advisory! The
East Bound lanes (SF to Berkeley direction) of the San
Francisco-OakLand Bay Bridge will be closed for all of the Labor Day
weekend to do seismic retrofit work. So, anyone coming from San
Franciso side of the bay must take alternate route and give themselves
an extra hour of travel time.

Rules & Regulations:
- Proof of Membership:
All participants must be able to show proof of current membership with
USATT or an ITTF recognized body. Membership can be renewed or
purchased at the event.
- Official Tournament Equipment: Stiga Tables, Barriers, and Stiga 40mm 3star balls
- Entry Deadline:
Entries must be postmarked by FRIDAY, August 18, 2006. Entries
postmarked late will either be accepted with a $20 late fee, or be
rejected, based on available space.
- Check-in: Starts on
Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 8AM at the venue. Participants are
required to check in 30 minutes prior to their first event.
- Refunds: After the entry deadline, no refunds.
- Ratings: Ratings from the July/August issue of USATT Magazine will be used.
- Policies:
Players may not enter two events with identical start times. Events can
be cancelled or combined at the discretion of the tournament committee.
No prizes will be awarded for splits, dumps, default losses or
no-shows. Players agree to follow USATT rules.
