2008 NA Teams Championships

Proof of Membership
All participants must be able to show proof of current membership for USATT, or ITTF member association.  If not, USATT membership must be purchased.  Tournament passes will not be accepted. 

Equipment
All USATT and ITTF rules and regulations will be followed. JOOLA tables & net sets will be used with JOOLA orange 40mm three-star balls.

Check-in
Check-in starts Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  On Friday, check-in resumes at 7:30 AM.  All teams must check in before being cleared to play.  There will also be individual check-in so that each player can pick up their own entry passes.

Teams Information
Please create a team name with less than 30 characters.  Teams with an average rating over 2400 must select a name that represents a sponsor or place/region of origin.  Teams consists of 3-5 players. Each tie will be 5 out of 9 matches except for Division A Semis and Finals.  Each match will be 3 out of 5 games to 11.  The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change without notice any team names that are deemed inappropriate.  Most recent ratings will be used and seeding will be based on average of the top 3 players in a team. The tournament committee reserves the right to use ITTF world rankings to determine the top seeded teams.  If your team has more than 3 players and your highest rated player is more than 400 rating points above the the next highest player, you must submit an explanation of the role that this player is expected to play on your team  including the number of team ties that he/she will play.  The tournament committee will reserve the right to change the seeding of this team if this player will only play in Friday’s preliminary rounds.  A false accounting will subject the team to disqualification from any prizes.**Boosting your team’s rating by using other players’ rating who will not be attending the tournament will be subject to disqualification and fine.**

Divisions
If your team is eligible for  the Women’s, U-18 Boys’ or Girls’, or O-40 Seniors’ divisions, please circle the appropriate team type.  The age cut-off date is November 28, 2008 for juniors, December 31, 2008 for seniors. All teams will be placed into one draw and divisional prize money as stated will be given to the team with the highest finish in the tournament for that particular division.

ENTRY DEADLINE
Entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2008. Any late entries will be accepted on a space available basis with a $75 late fee.  If an entry is submitted late, please call to confirm that it was received and accepted.  There is a $75 penalty for returned checks.  NO REFUNDS after October 31, 2008.

TOURNAMENT T-SHIRTS & PROGRAMS
Tournament T-shirt and Program will include all team names sent in postmarked by October 31, 2008.  T-shirts come in sizes Small to XXX-Large for $15 each.  Go to our website to see what the T-shirt will look like and to find out more information.

The 2008 JOOLA North American Teams Table Tennis Championships will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, centrally located in Downtown Baltimore’s Inner Harbor District! There are great attractions, plenty of shopping, great seafood, and lots more to do! 

SECURITY & SPECTATOR PASSES
All persons entering the venue must obtain an entry pass.  Players will receive a pass when they check-in for registration.  Each player must check-in individually and the team captain must check-in for their team at the registration desk.  Spectators, family, and friends can either pre-purchase a pass on this entry form for $10 per person for the entire duration of the tournament or purchase a pass on site for $15. For lost passes for all entrants, a replacement must be purchased.
